The BEST Centre is a heated, outdoor Olympic swimming pool right in the heart of the town, that brings dozens of Olympic and world championship medallists to Colonia Sant Jordi every year.

The Centre is primarily used by club and national swim teams, who use the pool and hotels for their warm-weather training camps from February to October. The excellent beaches and hotels next to the Olympic pool make town the ideal place to train and relax and that is why national teams from over 30 countries have used the BEST Centre for their training camps, and where club swimmers from across Europe can rub shoulders with Olympic champions like Rebecca Addlington, Forent Manaudou and Britta Steffen.

The BEST Centre is open to the public and hotel guests, and the experienced staff are available for 1 to 1 swim improvement classes. We also run a summer Campus programme for local children in the summer school holidays for English bases language and activities including swimming.

The Centre hosts three popular events in May every year: The Olympic distance Triathlon, the Synchro Open competition and the BEST FEST Open Water Swim Festival.

The Mallorca Olympic Triathlon is the first Saturday in May every year, and welcomes 600 Triathletes and their families to the town to enjoy the race. Popular with beginners and elites, the event is the perfect start to the racing season in Europe.

The Mallorca Synchro Open is well known in the sport of Synchro, where Spain excels. For a weekend in mid-May, the pool becomes a riot of colour as teams from across the country meet for a wonderful spectacle of Synchro. The Spanish national team often support the competition with a demonstration display that is enjoyed by the visiting athletes and the crowds of fans.

The BEST FEST is a week-long festival of Open Water swimming in the crystal clear waters off the town. The events include social swims and competitive races for cash prizes and attract open water enthusiasts from around the world. Open Water swimming is one of the fastest growing sports and the BEST Fest brings together swimmers for a week of swimming and social events.
